Ætt at Norwegian Icons
New York

In conjunction with the New York leg of the 2014 Norwegian Icons exhibition in New York, Ætt opened a mini pop-up inside the iconic exhibtion of Norwegian furniture design classics and artworks

Sharing a strong interest and passion for Norwegian craftsmanship and history, Ætt and Norwegian Icons share the mission to promote the country’s unique design heritage. Launched in 2012 and featured with exhibitions in Oslo, Tokyo and New York, Norwegian Icons is the brainchild of Oslo vintage shop and coffee connoisseurs Fuglen, who teamed up with Blomqvist Kunsthandel, established in 1870 as one of the Nordic countries’ first art dealers. Together, they have gathered the most unique pieces of Norwegian furniture classics from the 1940 – 1975 era under the Norwegian Icons name.

For their May 2014 exhibition on Mulberry Street in Soho, New York, Ætt’s leather goods from Borge Tannery were featured, together with our Osterfjord book.
